Battle Cry is sired by Tug Hill Whamunition (Wham Bam Command x Fiddler's Majesta), one of the all-time great sires of Morgan Show horses and whose personal show record includes 11 Word Championship and 9 GN Championship titles, including World Champion Stallion and World Champion Park Saddle (3 times).

His dam is HVK Ancient Cry (HVK Make 'Em Cry x Nobelle), owner of a record 5 Ladies Park Harness World Championships and 5 Ladies Park Harness Mare GN Championships.
